The platform view type this device's canvas is registered under.

The registry has no unregister and never will, so the factory closure outlives dispose whatever anybody does. What it holds is _CanvasSlot rather than the element, so the pin the platform keeps is a pin on a box this device is able to empty — which, together with unconfiguring the context and destroying the device, is a genuinely complete teardown. The WebGL2 backend cannot get that far and says so.
